Ringana products are special for many reasons, but first and foremost because they are FRESH. At the time of writing, no other company produces fresh vegan skincare and food supplements. FRESH means that they contain no harmful chemicals, microplastics, mineral oils or artificial fragrances – only certified organic, raw plant-based ingredients of the highest quality. That way, there’s more room in the products for really effective natural ingredients instead of preserving agents, which have no other function other than to increase shelf life. Preservatives also tend to destroy those highly effective natural antioxidants that keep our skin looking young. This is why Ringana products are not sold in shops, where preservatives are required by law to increase shelf life.

Ringana employs an in-house team of professional researchers and biologists who ensure that Ringana products are always innovative and that they remain at the very top of their industry. The same goes for their sustainability research team – always questioning even good solutions and aiming to go even greener.

The founders of Ringana were vegan even before they created the company back in 1996, when veganism was relatively unheard of, so it goes without saying that all their products are vegan and cruelty free.

About the company

Ringana was founded in 1996 in Austria, by Andreas Wilfinger and Ulla Wannemacher. Andreas once said “If you want to change the world, you must have the courage to do things differently” and that’s exactly what they did. They created their own logo and made their first vegan products in a small laboratory in Hartberg, Austria. Not only were Andreas and Ulla vegan in times when vegans were few and far between, they were also adamant that their products should contain no artificial preservatives or additives. They were very successful in achieving that, but it meant that they could not sell their products in shops because of their freshness.

They had to have an expiry date and be sold directly seeing as they could not sit on a shelf for months. Andreas and Ulla came up with a unique business model for the sale of their products, ensuring that all orders are placed directly with Ringana or their partners and that they are shipped directly from the factory to the end customer. When Ringana products reach their customers, they are no more than 10-15 days old.

Freshness

Freshness is what Ringana stands for, primarily. It means no artificial preservatives or additives, so there’s more space for powerful antioxidants with an anti-ageing effect in the products. Your order is shipped directly to you from the factory in Austria, usually within a day of placing your order. In Europe you will receive it within 3-4 working days, guaranteeing the absolute freshness of your products.

The re-use concept

Ringana‘s FRESH skincare range comes in reusable glass bottles. These are not recycled in a traditional way. You don’t take them to the recycling centre and throw them in the container for glass. You keep them and when you have 10 empty bottles, or a multiple of 10 (20, 30 etc) you send them back to Ringana, where they are sterilised and then re-used. I use one of their empty cartons and void-fill to send them back. In return, they will send you a voucher by email for a free product of your choice, redeemable at any time. Sustainability

Ringana is a climate-neutral company; they have won several awards for their efforts for the environment. However, no manufacturing business can completely avoid greenhouse gas emissions. That’s why Ringana offsets those emissions with effective climate protection projects.
